Prayer for December 14, 2012 tragedy
Oh God, we cry out in horror and shock. How and why could this tragedy happen among us? You are the only one who knows and the only one who can comfort and strengthen us. Draw us close to yourself and to one another as we grieve. Help us to treasure even more those we love especially our children and grandchildren. Help us to reach out to all those who have lost their love one in this unspeakable tragedy. Unite us as your people to work for legislation that will prevent such tragedies in the future. We plead in your name. Amen.
